There are 1,372 existing parking spaces in the study area. <br />Table 1 outlines the private and public parking spaces in the entire study area and <br />the Downtown area. This total does not include parking spaces associated with <br />private single family residences. Blocks 5, 6, 7, and 8 on the Study Area Map cover <br />the Downtown area. <br />Table 1: Parking Spaces in the Stud v Area <br />The Downtown area contains 63% of the existing parking spaces in the study area. <br />Block 6 between Spruce Street and Walnut Street contains the most parking spaces <br />of any block in the study area with 262. Block 6 also has the largest number of <br />public parking spaces with 189. This number includes the parking spaces at the <br />public library and the public spaces to the south of the Steinbaugh Pavilion.
