Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 20, 2009 <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />Lewis then asked the Commission if there could be a condition placed on the <br />approval to allow for a soft strip of the structure to uncover the historic buildings. <br />Whiteman asked what the intended development schedule of the project was. <br />Johnson stated he would like to move forward with design and have construction <br />in fall. <br />Williams asked Johnson what type of footprint will be designed for the new <br />structure. <br />Johnson stated he will be designing a modest 2,400 square foot structure that <br />will comply with the Old Town Overlay District regulations. <br />Williams asked if the structure would be two story. <br />Johnson answered in the affirmative and stated the seco loor would be <br />stepped back. <br />Williams asked if the basement will be preserved. <br />Johnson stated the existing house is actually over the etback lines and would <br />need to be moved to comply with the old tow t'1 etback egulations. <br />Muckle asked if the basement was. new. <br />Johnson said it was newer than t for al structure, but was probably built <br />around mid 20 century. <br />Whiteman asked if the structure is re ocat hew fhat would be considered <br />preservation.
