Treasurer’s Report – . <br />Jim P <br /> We have a new bank: Great Western. <br /> Tara Williams, our accountant, is attempting to put together a report of our <br />designated funds. She filed the 990 federal form that was required for the LCC, <br />which is all that was required since we were under the 25K limit. No further <br />reports are necessary. <br /> Julie recommended that Jim look into moving the designated Art in the <br />Park funds to a savings account, since it won’t be spent for a while and might be <br />able to earn some interest. <br />VIII. City Staff Update <br /> – Kathy and Julie S. <br /> Carol and Jim’s terms are up at the end of this year. Reappointment filings <br />are due by November 30 <br />th <br /> Calendar events for 2010 are needed by September 30. The Council <br />discussed potentially having some meetings at the Arts Center. <br />IX. City Council <br />– Frost Y. <br />Budget changes are imminent, but not finalized yet. The final budget will be <br />available at the end of November. The LCC may want to schedule a study <br />session with the City Council after the first of the year. <br />X. Art in the Park – : <br />Maryan J <br />Maryan presented a prospectus and a letter describing the Art In the Park <br />project. The new documentation was written to redefine the project’s logistics and <br />structure given our current economic climate. It will probably be necessary to <br />obtain donations to cover costs. <br />City staff will probably not be able to absorb taking on the work to install the <br />sculptures, so this will become an additional expense for the project. There are <br />liability issues which must be considered, so we can’t have untrained contractors <br />install the sculptures. Smaller sculptures may need to include pedestals and that <br />may become a requirement of the submission. <br /> <br />
