Susan Griffiths, City Attorney, stated that the options when dealing with the railroad are very limited. <br />She did not feel the license agreement could be improved. She stated the City's choices are to <br />approve this agreement, go to the PUC and request assistance, pursue imminent domain. <br />Phare stated that he would like to see local Colorado governments dealt with more fairly that he <br />thought the City of Louisville is being dealt with from a railroad company based in Texas. He <br />suggested that may be an issue for CML to undertake as a service to all local governments who will <br />have to deal with this new railroad. <br />Davidson called for Council comments or motions. <br />Sisk suggested that the City solicit the support of Senators Allard and Campbell and also <br />Representative Skaggs. He felt the ICC needed to look at this. <br />Sisk moved that Council approve the license agreement for Drainageway A, Burlington <br />Northern/Santa Fe and the City of Louisville and authorize the Mayor to sign same, seconded by <br />Mayer. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 6 0 vote with Howard being absent. <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br />NONE <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />NONE <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Sisk was contacted by a citizen who was quite concerned about the fact that in seeking local <br />donations to honor a teacher, Mr. LaBaron, at Louisville Elementary School, he had made visits to <br />11 <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, reminded Council that tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Arts Center will <br />be the goal setting session and lunch would be provided. He reported that at the June 24 Work <br />Session they will look at the Cherry Street design options, and Council will continue discussion about <br />water rates and sewer tap fees. At the July 8 Work Session Council will be meeting with <br />representatives of the Louisville Fire Protection District Board to talk about matters of mutual <br />interest. Additionally, he reported that the RFP request proposal was sent out for the Landscape <br />Master Plan. They received 12 submittals and four firms were selected for presentations and <br />interviews. Members of the Tree Board, along with two members of the Chamber of Commerce had <br />the interviews last week. From the presentations and interviews the Board had selected Shapins <br />Associates of Boulder to develop the master plan, and eight to ten week process. <br />
