No. 9 should be eliminated, as a sidewalk does not exist. <br />Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 35, Series 1997, deleting condition No. 1; No. 2 <br />state that parking pole lights be reduced to 175 watts in areas where it does not compromise safety, <br />but in no event be higher than 250 watts; No. 3 from "...may be subject to change..." add "at the sole <br />discretion of the City of Louisville The rest of No. 3 would be deleted.; No. 8 that the bikerack <br />location be in the common area; No. 9 deleted in its entirety, seconded by Howard. <br />Keany offered a friendly amendment that condition No. 4 be deleted also. <br />Sisk and seconder Howard accepted that. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by 6 1 vote with <br />Mayer voting against. <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION REVIEW OF A PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN PROPOSED <br />FOR LOT 1, LOUISVILLE CAMPUS SUBDIVISION <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that the Wellspring at Louisville, LLC is the applicant and the <br />plan to construct an assisted living facility on Lot 1 of Louisville Campus. They proposed a single <br />story, pitched roof complex providing 48 residential units for specialized care of Alzheimer's patients: <br />The configuration clustered four residential "houses" containing 12 residential units each around a <br />central service /activity area or "town square The PUD proposed a total of 27,213 s.f. and 30 <br />parking spaces. The primary issues raised by staff are related to setbacks and the 7'6" high fence. <br />Required setback on the north is 20' and the PUD proposed 5', 150' on the east and the PUD <br />proposed 120', 30' on the south and the PUD showed 20'. The Boulder Valley School District letter <br />of July 17, 1997, endorses the project with three stipulations: That additional brick treatment be in <br />the building elevations, that additional landscape materials be provided outside the perimeter of the <br />privacy fencing, and that the upper 18" of the fence be constructed to allow light to pass through the <br />fence. <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br />Dick Taft, representing Perry/Affordable Housing Development Corporation, 910 16th Street, Suite <br />1120, Denver, Colorado 80202, reviewed the project. <br />Davidson called for Council comments. <br />Howard was concerned that there was a lack of trees and the periphery had very few coniferous trees. <br />He did not want the landscaping to look stark in the winter months. <br />Taft stated that it was an error that these are not half evergreen and half coniferous. <br />10 <br />
