Sisk wondered if the site was compatible with the school next door. He did not want the fence to <br />appear as though the residents were in prison. He wanted the beautiful school campus and this <br />facility to be compatible. <br />Taft pointed out that the fence will not appear 7.5' tall from the outside. <br />Keany was concerned that the fence would have a stockade effect. He was worried about the kids <br />interaction with the facility. <br />Keany was concerned about the high school kids driving by revving their engines. <br />Taft stated they picked this location because of the overall location and benefits mitigated the traffic <br />issue. <br />Davidson was concerned about the setbacks and fence. <br />Howard moved that Council refer this to the Planning Commission, seconded by Mayer. All in favor. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 36, SERIES 1997 APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE BOULDER COUNTY CLERK AND RECORDER FOR THE <br />CONDUCT AND ADMINISTRATION OF A COORDINATED ELECTION TO BE HELD <br />NOVEMBER 4, 1997 <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that this agreement is identical to the agreement the City <br />entered into last year with the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder for the coordinated election used <br />in the 1996 Special Election, with certain exceptions which, in general, reflecting the different election <br />date for the 1997 election. <br />Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 36, Series 1997, seconded by Keany.
