reference to the appmp6ate table of fees established by the city administrator in <br />accordance with as~ec-fe~ga-~ section 13.12.040; provided that the minimum tap <br />fee paid for each multifamily unit other than a townhouse after payment in full for <br />the first tap issued shall be 60 percent of the existing charge for a three-quarter-inch <br />tap and provided that the minimum tap fee paid for each townhouse in a group of <br />attached "townhouses," as defined in Code section 17.08.560, after payment in full <br />for the first tap issued, shall be 80 percent of the existing charge for a three-quarter- <br />inch tap. <br /> <br /> D. The tap fee for nonresidential units shall be determined by the city <br />and shall be based upon the size of the tap, as calculated pursuant to the provisions <br />of the International Unffe. r.. Plumbing Code then in effect, and ~ b_.y <br />reference to the table of fees established by the city administrator in accordance with <br />section 13.12.040. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Subsection C of Section 13.12.030 of the Louisville Municipal Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are st-detee~ <br />~): <br /> <br /> C. In the event a consumer desires to provide automatic fire-control <br />protection for the consumer's premises and for emergency service only, which <br />requires a tap larger than three-fourths-inch, the tap fee charged shall be based only <br />on the demand set forth in the International Plumbing Code and by reference to the <br />table of fees established by the ci_ty administrator in accordance with ~ <br />section 13.12.040. The user shall be required to pay the full cost of installation of <br />the service, including all pipe, valves, and valve boxes. <br /> <br /> Section3. The title of Section 13.12.040, and Subsections A and B of Section <br />13.12.040, of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows (words added <br />are underlined; words deleted are ~): <br /> <br />Sec. 13.12.040. <br /> <br /> A. The tap fee shall be computed by reference to Sections 13.12.020 <br />and 13 12 030, '~' ....... .4.,,~ ,.~o~c,~,:~... ;~ T~,~,~,~ ~, ~.~ .... an~ subsection D of <br />this section, if applicable, and a table of fees established by the. city administrator. <br />On or before July 17, 2000, for the balance of the third calendar quarter or' 2000, and <br />by the first day of each calendar quarter thereafter, the city administrator shall by <br />order establish a table of city water tap fees to be paid for the ensuing calendar <br />quarter. The tap fees shall classified according to the size of the tap requested, for <br />taps up to four inches. The tap fees shall be based on and used for growth related <br />capital expansion costs of water supply, water storage, transmission, treatment and <br />distribution facilities, related costs and factors.
