Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 21, 2009 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />Committee Reports <br />Weatherization Guide for Older and Historic Buildings <br />Koertje directed staff to include this website link on the HPC website. He stated <br />this was a good resource for people to use. <br />Design Assistance – 921 Main Street <br />Lewis stated she had met with Eric Tussey on his property and has made <br />recommendations for preservation techniques. <br />Old Town Historic District <br />Stewart and Williams are working on the maps and Muckle agreed to provide <br />data for the districts. <br />There was also discussion on whether or not the HPC should fund an update to <br />the architectural survey, which was done in 2000. It was determined that this <br />should be a topic of discussion at the next meeting. <br />Update on Demolition Requests – None <br />Discussion/Comments on Planning Department Referrals - none <br />Updates – <br />1116 Jefferson Avenue - None <br />Hecla Casino - Lewis stated the American Legion decided to go another direction <br />and is not interested in purchasing the Hecla Casino for relocation. She stated <br />that the HPC has until March to determine another future user for the historic <br />structure. <br />Tofte asked if Lewis had approached the Louisville Revitalization Committee <br />(LRC) to see if they would be interested in purchasing the structure for affordable <br />housing. <br />Koertje added the LRC could use it for affordable housing. <br />Muckle recommended the HPC should make a presentation at the next LRC <br />meeting. <br />Lewis suggested the HPC should figure out other avenues, such as approaching <br />the LRC. <br />Items from Staffnone <br /> - <br />Items from Commission Members <br />Muckle stated she would not be at the October 19, 2009 HPC meeting. <br />Koertje stated he would not be at the November 16, 2009 meeting. <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />Architectural survey <br />Adjourn <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:07 PM. <br /> <br />
