Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 19, 2009 <br />Page 7 of 7 <br />Koertje stated there should be more search done regarding Conservation <br />Easements. <br />Discussion/Comments on Planning Department Referrals - none <br />Updates – Hecla Casino <br />Hecla Casino – The Commission asked McCartney if he knew anything about the <br />Recycling Center property and whether the Casino could be placed there. <br />McCartney stated the Recycling Center was zoned Industrial and any <br />development would require compliance with the Industrial Development Design <br />Standards and Guidelines. <br />Koertje asked McCartney to provide the Commission with the dimensions of the <br />Recycling Center property at next meeting. <br />Items from Staff <br />HPC/PC joint meeting <br />Stewart gave a synopsis of the meeting and what elements had been discussed. <br />Koertje asked if the Old Town Overlay District was discussed. <br />McCartney stated it was not discussed because Planning Commission does not <br />review development in the Old Town Overlay District. <br />Koertje stated he would like to address Council regarding the Old Town Overlay <br />issue. <br />November HPC meeting <br />Koertje stated there are several members of the Commission, including himself, <br />th <br />who would not be available for the November 16 HPC meeting. He <br />recommended staff come up with an alternative date for the meeting. <br />McCartney stated he would create a new date and contact Koertje. <br />Items from Commission Members <br />Koertje recommended staff amend the “Rules of Procedure” to include “staff <br />presentation” within “Hearing Review”. <br />McCartney stated he would do so. <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />Provide more information on demo reviews. <br />Adjourn <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:31 PM. <br /> <br />
