Mr. Jones reported on conversations
with many local residents who are supportive of an organic market in Louisville.

Councilor Muckle supported the organic market and felt the Farmers Market and
the Front Porch Organic Market would support each other.

Councilor Yarnell voiced her support for an organic market in Louisville and
expressed her hope both parties could support each other. She suggested
Council look only to the Business Assistance Package and not to any issues
between the Farmers Market and Front Porch Organic Market.

Councilor Dalton concurred and supported the Business Assistance Package
with the last two conditions stricken.

Mayor Sisk supported the Business Assistance Package and a business owner
being allowed to use his prop<erty to its fullest ability. He did not support Council
micromanaging businesses.

Councilor Muckle noted the City Council is looking at a Business Assistance
package and not interfering with business owners.

MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved to approve Resolution No. 40, Series 2009,
seconded by Councilor Yarnell. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by
a vote of 6-0. Absent: Councilor Sackett.

BI-MONTHL.Y ECONIMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation.

Economic Development Director Star updated Council on the recent economic
developments in the City.

. City Manager Fleming received e-mail from a Jari Niemela, who is from
Finland and interested in relocating his growing snowboard manufacturing
and marketing operation to Louisville. Niemela called him and explained
he chose Louisville because of the mountains, and because he received
very few responses from other communities, including mountain
communities, but received an immediate response from City Manager
Fleming.
