Sisk did not like all of the lights.

Howard liked the Red Robin restaurants, also, but did not like this building.

Keany did not like the rustic, corrugated metal with current architecture. He felt signage was
overstated, mix of colors, and mix of materials.

Bill Simmons, City Administrator, thought the building height should be looked at. He pointed out
that this property is located in a proposed Special Improvement District, which will be dealt with
during a review process.

Sisk moved that Council move this onto the Planning Commission with recommendation for denial,
seconded by Mayer. All in favor, with Lathrop being absent.

OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA
NONE

CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT

NONE

CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT

Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that he has received notification that ComCast would be
increasing the cable television rates effective April 1, 1998. ComCast added a third tier of service
to the line-up of TV service, a Limited Basic Service, the Expanded Basic Service, and the Value
Pack. Staff is in the process of reviewing this and looking at the Franchise Agreement and will
report back to Council at the next meeting. There is no Work Session next week.

Davidson asked that ComCast appear at the next meeting to justify their rates.

COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS

NONE

ADJOURNMENT

Sisk moved that Council adjourn, seconded by Levihn. All in favor.

7
