LLC d/b/a Beef <br />"0" Brady's - Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License - 585 E. South <br />Boulder Rd. <br /> <br />Carlson asked if anyone from the establishment wanted to explain the <br />modifications. Richard Womack for Beef "0" Brady's reported they wanted to <br />add outdoor seating for approximately 32 patrons enclosed with wrought iron <br />fencing. <br /> <br />Womack was asked if he realized smoking would not be allowed on this patio. <br />He stated he was aware and was going to provide an outdoor area away from <br />the eating area for smoking. <br /> <br />Gunning moved the Authority approve the modification of premises for Beef "0" <br />Brady's to add the patio area.. Rommelfanger seconded. Roll Call Vote: <br />Gunning - yes, Mulvahill -- yes, Carlson - yes and Rommelfanger - yes. <br />Lipton arrives. <br /> <br />C. Show Cause Hearing - The Back Room Brewery, Inc. d/b/a The Back <br />Room - Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License - 328 S. McCaslin <br />Blvd. - 1/17/09 InGident <br /> <br />Attorney Culley reminded the Authority this item was continued from the last <br />meeting. She noted a memo provided by the Authority Secretary pointing out the <br />licensee turned in their liquor license and signed an affidavit showing voluntary <br />surrender of their license. <br /> <br />Rommelfanger moved the! Local Licensing Authority accept the Affidavit of <br />Surrender of Louisville liquor license No. 25-37317-0000 for Back Room <br />Brewery, Inc. and to canclal said license. Further he moved the Local Licensing <br />Authority vacate all proceedings on the Order to Show Cause and Notice of <br />Hearing in the Matter of The Back Room Brewery, Inc. dated February 27, 2009 <br />on the grounds the Back Room voluntarily surrendered its liquor license pursuant <br />to said Affidavit for Surrender. Lipton seconded. Roll Call Vote. Gunning - yes, <br />Rommelfanger - yes, Mulvahill - yes, Lipton - yes and Carlson - yes. <br /> <br />D. Modification of Pnamises - Waterloo Icehouse, Inc. d/b/a Waterloo <br />Icehouse - Tavern Liquor License - 809 Main St. <br /> <br />E. Modification of Pnamises - Eat Drink, LLC d/b/a The Empire <br />Restaurant and Lounge - Hotel and Restaurant Liquor License- <br />816 Main St. <br /> <br />Since these items concerned raised patios in the parking spaces in the <br />downtown area and are similar in nature, the Authority considered them together. <br />Susan Bright, Vice-President of the Downtown Business Association of Louisville <br />(DBA), Brendan McManus, owner of The Empire and Davis Tuitele from <br />Waterloo appeared to discuss the addition of these outdoor spaces.
