Library Board of Trustees <br />Minutes <br />MARCH 18, 2009 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />IX.Director’s Report <br />A.Statistics (YTD versus same period in 2008) <br />Aimee noted that the number of children’s programs was up slightly, however, <br />attendance at children’s programs was down dramatically (51% and 57% respectively) <br />from January and February 2008. The Library has not yet seen a complete recovery from <br />the absence of Superior patrons at children’s programs. <br />The total number of reference questions was also much lower, showing 90% and 43% <br />declines for January and February. <br />New registrations were down by almost 17% in January, but they were up by 4% in <br />February. Average transactions per hour were up slightly in February. <br />X.Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />A.Meeting with City Council, May 2009 <br />B.Director Recruitment <br />XI.Adjournment <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:45pm.
