Roll Call <br />Members Absent: <br /> Sierra Ehlert <br />Staff Liaisons Absent: <br />. <br />Members Presents: <br /> Megan Cousins, Austin Lawrence, Charlie Light, Hannah Tienken, <br />Megan Valentine, Sam Webster Ruby Dickson, Katy Brown, Nicole Polglaze, Luc Polglaze <br /> <br /> Staff Liaisons Present: <br />Mandy Perera, Kriska Daltonhurst, Peggy Jones, Frost Yarnell. <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Agenda for meeting on 4/2/09 was approved. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of minutes 3/5/09 and 3/16/09 meetings. <br />Minutes for meetings on 3/5/09 and 3/16/09 were approved. <br /> <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />There were no public comments on items not on the agenda. <br /> <br />VI. Poet-a-thon planning- reports from subcommittees <br /> <br /> Sam researched chapbooks and the cost. 75 chapbooks = $139.50 at Office Max, that is <br />with a cardstock cover. <br /> <br /> The group voted on the color of the cover: Nine voted for purple covers, one for Orange <br />cover. <br /> <br /> Megan said the books will cost $10, but it was a unanimous vote to change the price to $5. <br />There was an 8-2 vote to print 75 books as opposed to 50. <br /> <br /> All the profits of the Poet-a-thon will go to buying backpacks and supplies for “The <br />Backpack Project”. <br /> <br /> Don checked to make sure everyone was doing their tasks. Austin could not reach 9news, <br />but tried to post the event on their sister station’s calendar, and needed Mandy’s approval. <br />Mandy needed Austin to send her a link for the website in the next day or two. <br /> <br /> Sam volunteered to make a one-page program with the list of the poets in order they are <br />th <br />going by Friday, April 10. Katy, Charlie and Mandy will call the poets before the event to <br />th <br />remind them to be at the rehearsal on April 10.
