Youth Advisory Board <br />Agenda <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />VII. Discuss National Dark City subcommittee <br />There is nothing new to report from last meeting on the National Dark City project, and the <br />YAB is not ready to report to council on the Dark City Project. <br /> <br />VIII. Report on past volunteer activities- St. Patrick’s Senior Event 3/19/09 <br />Kriska got a lot of positive feedback from the people at the event about the youth volunteers. <br /> <br />IX. Volunteer Opportunities in April- Poet-a-thon! <br /> <br />X. Discuss the John Breaux Memorial Project- any new news? <br />The committee is not taking a liaison from the YAB. Austin suggested a fund for city <br />cleanup. Megan and Sam said they thought they were doing a similar fund. <br /> <br />XI. Discuss meeting with City Council in April- preview presentation <br />th <br />The board watched Megan’s presentation to be given to City Council on Tuesday, April 14, <br />and everyone made suggestions on how to improve the presentation. <br /> <br />XII. Discuss other city boards and commissions <br />a. LCC Meeting on 3/19/09? <br />Nicole went to the LCC meeting on 3/19/09, and reported that the LCC wants to use the <br />Louisville Arts Center more. <br /> <br />b. City Council session? <br />Sam and Megan V. went to the City Council meeting and invited anyone watching to the <br />Poet-a-Thon. <br /> <br />XIII. Eyes and Ears <br />Don said the CU senior design teams will present their designs for a new Arts Center <br />rd <br />in Louisville on May 3, at the current Arts Center at six PM. <br /> <br />XIV. Comments from Liaisons <br />There were no comments from liaisons. <br /> <br />XV. Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />There were no discussion items for next meeting suggested. <br /> <br />XVI. Adjourn <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:02. <br />
