<br /> <br /> <br />The study session between the Louisville City Council and the Louisville Housing Authority is <br />designed to update the council with LHA plans and provide an update on what the LHA has <br />accomplished in the last year. The most important component of the study session is for the <br />LHA board to present how serious the board is about the future. Callan will take the lead and do <br />introductions. <br />Some of the items to discuss with the City Council include: <br /> <br />1)The LHA Board has been managing budget for the past several years and providing <br />excess cash into reserves. <br /> <br />2)Update on the status of senior affordable housing. <br /> <br />3)Past work on renovations in the LHA housing stock. <br /> <br />4)Weatherization program. <br /> <br />5)Senior needs program. <br /> <br />6)Development concepts and proformas. <br /> <br />7)Necessity of land at cheap and/or reduced prices. <br /> <br />Callan reviewed the presentation outline and discussed each person’s part. Bonnie suggested <br />stating that the LHA is exploring ways to fill gaps and come back to city council next year. Still <br />need direction from City. City does not have cash available, so need other ways they can help. <br />Need cooperation and creative opportunities available. State the direction we plan to go and we <br />need to collaborate with them.
