<br /> <br /> <br />The City of Louisville Fire Department, Safe Systems, and BCHA staff did a fire drill at Lydia <br />Morgan. Found some issues that will be brought up at next board meeting. A few second floor <br />residents were concerned since the elevator is disabled in event of a fire. Staff will continue with <br />annual or biannual fire drills. Not governed to require fire drills. <br />There is one projected vacancy at Sunnyside at the end of August. <br /> <br />Section 8: HCV Program Report: Monthly statistics <br /> <br />See board packet for report. Currently 72 people in Louisville have a Section 8 voucher <br /> <br />Follow-up on Louisville City Council Study Session with the Louisville Housing Authority <br />The South Boulder Road property is restricted on the deed that the property must be used for <br />affordable housing. The LHA Board can sell the property outright, develop units, or donate lot <br />to Habitat for Humanity. <br />Steve motioned to donate the property to Habitat. Set a meeting with Habitat to come to <br />agreement. Rob seconds. All in favor, passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Frank also suggested that the LHA could lease the land for the site and Habitat could own the <br />improvements, then LHA would maintain long-term control of the property and could make <br />future determinations if the project had difficulties. <br /> <br />Matters from Members of the Board <br />The question of who maintains the South Boulder Rd property has arisen between the City of <br />Louisville and the LHA. This expense will need to come out of operating budget. Has not been <br />LHA responsibility in the past. This month city will complete maintenance. Estimate from a <br />few years ago for S. Boulder Rd. Steve suggested that the LHA create a single room occupancy <br />units for short-term temporary housing in the vacant Gateway business building.
