City Council Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 2, 2009 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />RECAP – FEE-IN-LIEU OF PARKING MEETING <br />Dalton stated that the meeting was very helpful to better understand the broader <br />picture and how the parking costs are established. He stated now staff has to <br />make a recommendation on how to proceed. <br /> <br />Wood stated that the Planning Staff is continuing work], including getting specific <br />information form other jurisdictions about their parking plans as well as looking at <br />the existing parking demand and utilization. <br /> <br />JANUARY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIEFING <br />Hogan gave a brief update on her activities during July. She highlighted three <br />state prospects, a meeting with the Chamber, and continued work on the post <br />office site. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE COMMENTS <br />None. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING <br />Continued discussion of possible use tax. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:10 AM. <br />
