PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Nancy Love, 2255 N 75th Street, Boulder Colorado, and Louisville business owner (841 Front <br />Street) expressed concern for the Drainageway A project which was recently placed on hold. This <br />dam will assist in eliminating approximately 80 properties from a flood plain in the downtown area. <br />She asked that Council reconsider placing this project on hold and move forward toward completion <br />of the project, removing the citizens and businesses in the downtown area from flood risk. <br /> <br />Chip Heldman, 298 S Adams Drive, Louisville, Colorado, requested that Council consider obtaining <br />more open space to be used for preservation and for wildlife habitat versus parks and ballfields. <br /> <br />Jay Berger, 1016 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado, requested that Council place traffic-calming <br />devices on Main Street during the reconstruction to slow the traffic flow. <br /> <br />Wendy Atkin, 644 W. Pine Street, Louisville, Colorado, stated that their street has become a <br />through-street for residents of Summer Hill, creating a safety hazard for neighborhood children. She <br />distributed neighborhood suggestions to Council, and asked how the residents of Nighthawk Circle <br />were able to close off a street which created a similar problem in their neighborhood. <br /> <br />Keany arrived at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS <br /> NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Lathrop extended Council condolences to the finn of Griffiths, Tanoue and Light for the recent <br />passing of Susan Griffiths. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PRESENTATION - DENVER REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS - 1998 <br /> LOCAL GOVERNMENT INNOVATIONS AWARDS PROGRAM <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that the Superior/Louisville Intergovemmental Agreement <br />was selected as the first-place winner in the Cooperative Service Category by the Denver Regional <br />Council of Govemments (DRCOG).
