PRESENTATION - PROCLAMATION DECLARING NATIONAL DRINKING WATER <br /> WEEK - MAY 3-9, 1998 <br /> <br />Davidson presented Tom Phare, Public Works Director, a proclamation declaring May 3-9, 1998 as <br />National Drinking Water Week. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION - PROCLAMATION DECLARING MAY, 1998 OLDER AMERICANS <br /> MONTH <br /> <br />Davidson presented the Louisville Senior Board Members a proclamation declaring May, 1998 Older <br />Americans Month. <br /> <br />Sisk requested that the month of May be observed as "Distinguished Americans Month" in <br />recognition of Cathy Bittler and the Louisville Senior Board Members. <br /> <br /> PRESENTATION - BONDI & COMPANY 1997 AUDIT MANAGEMENT LETTER <br /> <br />Kim Higgins, partner in charge of the City of Louisville audit, gave a brief overview of the 1997 <br />Audit & Management Letter. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1280, SERIES 1998 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A GOLF <br />COURSE ACTIVITY ENTERPRISE OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE - 2nd READING - <br />PUBLIC HEARING (PUBLISHED LSVL TIMES 3/25/98) <br /> <br />Tanoue read by title only Ordinance No. 1280, Series 1998 - "An Ordinance Establishing a Golf <br />Course Activity Enterprise of the City of Louisville." <br /> <br />Davidson called for staff presentation. <br /> <br />Dianne Ray, Finance Director, stated this ordinance creates an enterprise, under the definition of <br />TABOR, for a golf course. This will remove the golf course from the spending limitations <br />calculation required by TABOR. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments and questions. <br /> <br />Mayer asked that the Golf Course Enterprise Fund reimburse the Water Fund for the water <br />appropriated for the golf course. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
