A discussion as to the pros and cons of the various equipment options and vendor's took place. The Water Committee approved a recommendation to Council to for the utilization of Vendor A for the meter replacement project. b. Water Conservation Plan - the Committee was informed that a draft Water Conservation Plan is out for public comment (copies on the City's website, at the Library Reference Desk, and at the City Clerk's Office). The draft Plan will be presented at the October 8th Planning Commission Meeting which, depending on the extent of revisions, be presented to Council for adoption in November. Please provide any comments to Dan Mathes by October 21 , 2009 or sooner if possible. The draft Plan discusses current water conservation measures that have been implemented by the City of Louisville and their results. Future measures are items that will be implemented in the near future. As the Plan shows the conservation practices have been effective and the City's per capita demands are slightly better than the Front Range average. VII. Update - Water Resources (as time permits) a. Water Supply & Demand Analysis - the usual table and chart, updated through September, was handed out showing the projected demand, storage and diversions through the end of 2010. An additional chart showing how the current year has compared to previous years was presented. A brief discussion of overall water resource supply & demand, costs, and ultimate demands followed. b. Storage - current storage levels are near the running 5 year average. VIII. Agenda Items and Date for Next Meeting a. The next meeting should be scheduled after the 15t of the year. XI.
