Sam Light, City Attorney, requested the removal of the minutes from the April 21, 1998 and May <br />19, 1998 meetings for corrections. <br /> <br />Davidson moved that the minutes from the April 21 and May 19, 1998 meetings be removed from <br />the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />Davidson moved that Council approve the Consent Agenda as amended, seconded by Sisk. All in <br />favor. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> <br />Lathrop commended the participants of the 'Touch A Truck' event during the Taste of Louisville <br />for providing such an enjoyable event for the residents of Louisville. <br /> <br />NETWORK CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br />Davidson called for staff introduction. <br /> <br />Dianne Ray, Finance Director, reported that on June 15, 1998, four network consulting firms were <br />interviewed by the City of Louisville. Staff is requesting Council approval to contract for services <br />with the selected consultant, Centura Information Systems, Inc., for approximately $57,000. <br /> <br />Davidson stated that he requested Councilman Howard to investigate the computer hardware <br />problems experienced by City staff. The findings indicate the network and hardware need to be <br />addressed. He asked Howard to report his findings. <br /> <br />Howard reported that in addition to presenting the lowest bid, the selected consultant has the ability <br />to setup a working demo for staff to test prior to installation. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions or comments. <br /> <br />Lathrop expressed his approval for selecting a professional computer organization which will accept <br />responsibility for recommending and installing a new computer system. <br /> <br />Keany questioned whether funds for this project were included in the budget for this year or will it <br />be necessary to locate funds to complete this project? <br /> <br /> <br />
