Approve Professional Service Agreement with AECOM Technical <br />Services, Inc. for Consulting Services <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Bill Eeds, 2541 Franklin Avenue, Louisville, CO requested City Council lift the <br />ban on pit bull dogs and pass an ordinance addressing dangerous dogs. He <br />outlined his work experience as an animal control officer and considered pit bulls <br />as a popular breed. He noted a dog, which is trained, neutered and loved is less <br />likely to bite. He requested a comprehensive dangerous dog ordinance. <br /> <br />Donese Brittingham, 531 W. Arrowhead Street, Louisville, CO requested the <br />Council consider repealing the pit bull ordinance. She stated a breed-specific <br />ordinance punishes owners of pit bulls. She felt a behavior-based law would be <br />better. <br /> <br />Victoria Mattoni, 176 S. Raintree Lane, Louisville, CO requested the Council <br />replace the breed-specific ordinance with a dangerous dog law. She noted all <br />dogs will bite. She felt the citizens of Louisville are being denied the right to own <br />a specific breed of dog. She stated pet owners should be responsible for the <br />care and behavior of their animals. <br /> <br />Maya Key, 400 E. Raintree Court, Louisville, CO urged Council to repeal <br />Ordinance No. 1143, which bans pit bulls in the City of Louisville. She suggested <br />a more comprehensive dangerous animal ordinance to protect the residents. <br />She noted responsible pit bull owners train the pets. She outlined the history of <br />pit bull dogs in the nation's history. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reported on Saturday, January 23, he, Mayor Pro-Tem Marsella and <br />Councilor Muckle had the opportunity to meet with a delegation from Azerbaijan. <br />Councilor Clabots met with the delegation on Sunday January 24. Diana Barney <br />from the League of Women Voters, hosted the delegation at her Louisville home. <br />
