Call to Order: Commission Chair Dan Mellish called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call <br /> <br />Commission Members Present: Dave Ferguson, Lynn Koglin, Dan Mellish, Sean <br />Moynihan, Don Ross, Dustin Sagrillo, Jennifer Strand, Colleen Vandendriessche <br /> <br />Commission Members Absent: Sally Burlingame, Brian Chamberlin, Diane Marino, <br />Anne Robinson, Pat Seader <br /> <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Directory of Library & Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda: All members approved the agenda. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes: All members approved the January meeting minutes. <br /> <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: None <br /> <br />VI. Treasurer's Report: Dave Ferguson presented the following report for January 2010: <br /> <br />Previous Balance 883.47 <br />Expenses 992.68 <br />Receipts 2,725.00 <br />Checking 2,615.80 <br />Savings 33,083.55 <br /> <br />Total <br /> <br />35,699.35 <br /> <br />The Commission approved the Treasurer's report. <br /> <br />Bridget Bacon noted that her review of the Commission's funds received in 2009 <br />indicated that $18,000 was received. The Commission agreed that this was a good <br />financial performance. <br /> <br />VII. Report from the Director of Library & Museum Services: Beth Barrett spoke about the <br />City Council's recent budget retreat. Due to the closure of Sam's Club, the City is <br />experiencing another round of cuts to follow those that were already made last year. Also, <br />she explained that the City is embarking on a Performance Measures project and is asking <br />for measurements and statistics from all City departments. The International City <br />Manager's Association is the source for the measurement questions. The Library and <br />Museum will participate by providing information about usage.
