No decision was made regarding <br />whether or not to do a float this year. <br /> <br />Possible corporate funding was also suggested. Beth Barrett offered to follow up and <br />get information as to what might be possible for the Commission to pursue. <br /> <br />Beth Barrett mentioned that Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) grants are tied to <br />mineral interests and could be of interest to pursue. <br /> <br />Jennifer Strand noted that there is a need for a building for storage and work <br />space, and there is a vacant spot on the Museum campus and some preliminary work <br />that has been done towards a new building. She indicated her support for trying to <br />work towards getting the needed building. Lynn Koglin noted the interesting idea of <br />having a new building look like the original building that used to be on the site. <br /> <br />XII. Election of Officers - The following officers were elected for 2010: Chair - Dan Mellish; <br />Vice Chair - Anne Robinson; Treasurer - Dave Ferguson; and Secretary - Jennifer <br />Strand. <br /> <br />XIII.
