<br />BRaD <br />Meeting Summary <br />March 1,2010 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Committee members indicated that the future administrative process should be sensitive to existing <br />businesses in order to prevent cannibalization, and that notice of assistance packages be given to <br />competitors_ All members agreed that the review process for business assistance packages needs <br />to be refined and streamlined, although the basic criteria is adequate_ An administrative review <br />process was one solution discussed_ City Council does have the ability to provide more <br />aggressive packages that are site specific_ Advanced brainstorming for site specific responses is <br />appropriate with consideration to immediacy and confidentiality_ <br /> <br />Motion - Carried - Action: BRaD committee members recommended <br /> <br />1_ change wage/payroll criteria to reference state calculated average county wage, <br />2_ use the last 12 calendar month for determining the base, <br />3_ Amend criteria document to show either a one or two step administrative process_ <br /> <br />Retention Visits 2009 Annual Report <br /> <br />R Star presented an annual report on retention visits_ <br /> <br />February Economic Development Briefing <br /> <br />The Committee approved two meeting date changes for BRaD due to City holidays; July 6 <br />(changed from the Fifth) and September 7 (changed from the Sixth)_ <br /> <br />R Star updated the committee members on the following events: <br /> <br />~ Mountainside Medical has decided on Louisville <br />~ Radiometrics has selected a Gunbarrellocation <br />~ AMC under contract to buyout Kerasotes Theatre <br />~ Alley Cat is expected to open the end of March <br />~ Paul's Coffee is a fresh roasting business new to Louisville <br />~ April 5 - Post Office proposal to Council <br />~ Santa Fe Grille property has been sold out of foreclosure_ <br /> <br />S_ Reichenberg provided information on an intern in the Real Estate Program at CU_ The intern <br />might be able to assist with Real Estate related database_ <br /> <br />S_ Angell updated the committee on the Chamber's Quarterly meetings, hand delivery of <br />invitations, and outreach for meeting in different areas_ <br /> <br />Committee members briefly discussed Golf Course operations being leased out, ConocoPhillips <br />and the Planning Commission, and Pelosi being at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield_ <br /> <br />Next Meeting - April 5, 2010 <br /> <br />Meeting Adjourned at 9:15 a_m_ <br /> <br />3 <br />
