The Chamber feels the development will have a tremendous impact on all of <br />Colorado. She noted ConocoPhillips has already shown an investment in the <br />community by supporting several local events. The Chamber feels ConocoPhillips will <br />assist in a positive future for the City of Louisville. <br /> <br />Jerry Anderson, Principal of Monarch High School, 329 Campus Drive, Louisville, CO <br />voiced their full support for the ConocoPhillips development. She stated Monarch High <br />School looks forward to having a partnership with ConocoPhillips. She noted Monarch <br />High School has one of the largBst science research seminar groups; 70 in the district of <br />which 25 are at Monarch High School. She voiced her hope ConocoPhillips would <br />provide opportunities for internships for Monarch High School students. <br /> <br />Elmer Crider, 9355 Paradise Lane, Broomfield, CO stated his residence is adjacent to <br />the ConocoPhillips property and noted they have been very good neighbors. He stated <br />that ConocoPhillips will be a blessing for the City, County and State. He explained <br />ConocoPhillips is an American company, owned by and operated by American citizens. <br />He stated ConocoPhillips will build a quality research and development center, which <br />will bring in people who will spend money in Louisville. He requested the local and <br />county governments not make outrageous demands on ConocoPhillips. <br /> <br />Erich Hardy, 9555 Paradise Lane, Broomfield, CO voiced his full support for the <br />ConocoPhillips development and stressed they have been very good neighbors. He felt <br />ConocoPhillips chose a great location to locate their research and development <br />facilities. He stated ConocoPhillips has brought opportunity and hope to the community. <br />He stated the City, Monarch Campus and the area roadways will all benefit from the <br />ConocoPhillips development. He commended the City for its presentation. <br /> <br />Richard Lopez, 4950 Arapahoe, Boulder, CO stated the Planning Commission <br />discussed the benefits the ConocoPhillips development will bring to Louisville. He <br />noted there will also be somE~ collateral damage to a property located at 9350 Paradise <br />Lane, which is located across from the northern most roadway coming out of the <br />ConocoPhillips. He stated his client's property is 35' from the right-of-way where a <br />major east/west roadway is proposed and north of the development where 95 foot <br />buildings are proposed. As the character of the area will change, his clients are asking <br />the City to amend the Northwest Parkway IGA to allow them to annex to City and <br />rezone their property. He identifiled his clients as 9350 Paradise Lane LLC. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to continue all matters subject to the public hearing to <br />April 6, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Councilor Muckle seconded the motion. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light reviewed Councils options: If Council desired to have the <br />ordinances scheduled for second reading the annexation portion of the hearing would <br />have to be concluded. There was Council consensus to continue all matters to April 6, <br />2010 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />29 <br />
