<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 6, 2010 <br />Page 15 of 17 <br /> <br />large portion of the parking lot would be used for outdoor seating. The intent is to have a <br />fairly economical restaurant, which will attract both families and couples. His financing <br />is in place, through personal funds and a guaranteed loan through a local bank. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />John Leary, 1116 LaFarge Avenue, Louisville, CO clarified he fully understands the <br />purpose for a Business Assistance Packages. He suggested City Council not put a lot <br />of value on sales tax. He asked Council to look at the value of what capital investments <br />are to the City. He recommended Council support the local business women in <br />Louisville, who have existing businesses instead of subsidizing their competitors. He <br />supported the Pine Street Partners proposal. <br /> <br />Steve Marshall, 1500 S. Vona Court, Superior, CO voiced his support for the Pine <br />Street Market Plan. He stated these existing businesses will provide six additional new <br />businesses and a mix of products, which will bring in daily walk-in business. He stated it <br />would be a good fit for downtown with the advent of FasTracks. He recommended <br />Council look at the long-term benefits to the City. <br /> <br />David Greenwald, 1137 Hillside Court, Louisville, CO supported the Pine Street Market <br />Place proposal. He is a member of Transitional Louisville, which endorses this <br />proposal. They support sustainability, localization and promoting a sense of community. <br />They feel this proposal accomplishes all those goals and provides a local meeting place <br />for groups such as his. This proposal also includes the prospect of local organic <br />gardening. <br /> <br />Michael Menaker, 1827 W. Choke Cherry Drive, Louisville, CO stated the LuckyPie <br />proposal has a larger capital contribution to the building and provides a full service <br />restaurant with extended hours. The seating includes inside and outside dining and has <br />the capacity of seating 11 0 peopll~. He was impressed with Mr. McManus's 25-years of <br />restaurant experience and revenue projections and supported for the Lucky Pie <br />proposal. <br /> <br />Lars Novak, Louisville, CO felt the Pine Street Partners proposal meets the City's multi- <br />use criteria and would provide more foot travel. He felt the proposal would enhance the <br />corner. <br /> <br />Sheri Heinlein, 265 Dahlia Drive, Louisville, CO supported a local market concept. She <br />noted there are several restaurants in Louisville. <br /> <br />Barbara Butterworth commented their finances are in place and they have a local <br />investor who is backing this proposal. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />
