<br />Two (2) appointees shall serve terms that begin on the date of <br />appointment and extend to the end of that calendar year plus two years; <br />Three (3) appointees shall serve terms that begin on the date of <br />appointment and extend to the end of that calendar year plus three years. <br /> <br />Members may be appointed to serve successive terms without limitation. <br />Appointments to fill vacancies on the Board shall be made by the City <br />Council. All members of the Board shall serve without compensation <br />except for such amounts determined appropriate by the City Council to <br />offset expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. <br /> <br />C. Removal from Board. A member may be removed during his/her term of <br />office for cause as defined in the Louisville Home Rule Charter and <br />Resolution No. 16, Series 2009. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to City Council on <br />matters of interest to the City COlUncil concerning Coal Creek Golf Course. The Board's <br />goals and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: <br /> <br />A. The Board as part of its primary mission will identify 3-5 municipal "best <br />of breed" golf courses that golfers might consider as alternatives to Coal Creek <br />Golf Course (CCGC). They will gather relevant data on resources, costs, capital <br />improvements plans, funding mechanisms, turf management plans, management <br />philosophies, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Included in this <br />data collection and analyses will be a comparison of offerings, rates and <br />programs and a thorough, comprehensive and complete study of the operating <br />philosophies of these municipal golf courses (and others as appropriate). Based <br />on the knowledge obtained in this process the Board will evaluate various options <br />and create a strategic plan and direction for Coal Creek Golf Course. This plan <br />will be reviewed with the C:CGC management company and then presented to <br />the City Council for their consideration and further direction. This data and <br />resulting analyses shall be updated every two years as the situation warrants or <br />as requested by City Council. <br /> <br />B. City staff in cooperation with the management company will develop a <br />Master Plan for the operatiion and maintenance of the Coal Creek Golf Course. <br />This Master Plan for Coal Creek Golf Course will include the following elements: <br />1. Vision <br />2. Operating and performance measures and standards <br />3. Capital Improvement Plan, including recommended priorities, time-lines, <br />cost estimates, funding sources and implementation strategies <br />4. Marketing goals and objectives, including target markets, market share <br />and strategies for achieving those goals and objectives <br />5. Communications and Customer Relations plan, including customer <br />satisfaction goals and strategies to build customer connection and loyalty <br />2 <br />
