<br /> the city council during his term of office, except members <br /> of the council who may hold over and who shall receive the <br /> same salary as that provided for the incoming members for <br /> the remainder of their term of office. <br />B. The city council shall from time to time, by ordinance, fix <br /> the position classification and salary schedule for all <br /> employees of the city. <br />C. The city council shall from time to time, by ordinance, fix <br /> on terms acceptable to the city council the compensation to <br /> be received by officers of the city who are not members of <br /> the city council. <br /> Section 4. Section 2.12.030 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5. Section 2.12.060 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows. <br />2.12.060 ACTION - PROCEDURE <br /> Every subject coming before the city council for its action <br />shall be submitted by resolution or motion. For each motion or <br />resolution involving an appropriation of funds or an appointment <br />to a position, the clerk shall call the roll and the vote thereon <br />shall be taken and recorded by yeas and nays. <br /> Section 6. Section 2.16.020 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows: <br />2.16.020 APPOINTMENT <br /> The city administrator shall be appointed by the city <br />council and shall serve at the pleasure of the city council and <br />may be removed by a majority vote of all of the members thereof. <br />He shall be selected solely on the basis of his executive and <br />administrative qualifications, with special preference given to <br />his training and his experience. He shall be compensated for his <br />services as the council from time to time determines. At the <br />time of his appointment, he need not be a resident of the city or <br />state, but he shall move to the city within ninety days of his <br />appointment and shall continue to reside in the city during his <br />term of office. <br /> section 7. Section 2.16.060 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed. <br /> section 8. section 2.16.080 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed. <br /> - 2 - <br />
