<br />Section 9. Sections 2.20.010(A) and (C) of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code are hereby repealed and reenacted to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />2.20.010 ELECTION - SALARY - BOND. <br /> <br />A. A ci ty clerk shall be elected at the general municipal <br />election held in November, 1991 and in November every four <br />years thereafter. The city clerk shall take office on the <br />first Monday after the first Tuesday in January immediately <br />succeeding such election. <br /> <br />C. Before entering upon the duties of his office, the clerk <br />shall furnish a good and sufficient surety bond in an amount <br />to be determined by the city council, conditioned upon the <br />faithful performance of his duties as city clerk and that <br />when he vacates such office he will turn over and deliver to <br />his successor all moneys, books, papers, property, or things <br />belonging to the city and remaining in his charge as such <br />clerk. The cost of any such bond shall be paid by the city. <br /> <br />section lO. Section 2.20.040 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows: <br /> <br />2.20.040 DEPUTY CITY CLERKS <br /> <br />With the concurrence of the city council, the city clerk may <br />appoint one or more deputy city clerks and as many assistants as <br />are necessary, within the limitations of the city budget. The <br />ci ty council may require such persons to furnish a good and <br />sufficient surety bond in an amount to be determined by the city <br />council conditioned upon the faithful performance of their duties <br />and the proper care and accounting of all moneys and property <br />coming into their hands. The cost of any such bond shall be paid <br />by the city. <br /> <br />section 11. Section 2.20.060 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reenacted to read as follows: <br /> <br />2.20.060 INSPECTION OF RECORDS <br /> <br />The city clerk shall furnish to any officer of the city or <br />to any department head such information as such officer or <br />department head may require in the proper conduct of his office. <br />All books and records of the city clerk shall be open to <br />inspection by an officer of the city at all times and such books <br />and records shall be open to the inspection of the public at all <br />reasonable times during office hours. The city clerk shall <br />charge a reasonable fees for time and materials for copies of <br />said books and records. <br /> <br /> <br />- 3 - <br />
