Wurl
City Administrator
City of Louisville
479 Main Street
Louisville, Colorado $0027
Dear Mr. Wurl:
The Boulder Valley School District's Planning Office has
r vi:,vsd the proposed Parkwood annexation and development.
As result of our review we have determined that the development
will yield over 20$ elementary students, 111 junior high
students, and 109 senior high students. In order to accommodate the
increase in the student enrollment it would be necessary
to consider several alternatives to over-crowding until voter
approval of a major new bond issue could be obtained to construct
new school facilities. These alternatives would be a year-
around school program, split-sessions, or transporting students
to schools outside of the Louisville area.
The School District is not opposed to the Parkwood annexation
but only wishes to emphasis* the need to consider the financing
and construction of new school facilities to accommodate
the growth of new neighborhoods.
Thank you for giving the School District an opportunity to
comment on the proposed Parkwood development. If you have
any questions I will do may best to answer them for you.
Veyy truly yours,
JohnQ 4 4a
T.
