Secretary to advise Mr. Dolan accordingly. <br /> A proposal by Dan White, City Engineer that we purchase foot bride's for decora- <br /> tive purposes over sueles at Mini-Park was put before the Comwrtstfon by Chair- <br /> men. After discussion ration was weds by Jerry Keno to purchase the foot <br /> bridges, seconded by Jo Ann Purcell. All were to favor. <br /> A shelter for the Park was also Pluussed. City Engineer to work up prelir+'nary <br /> design for the shelter and cement can be poured alone with walkways. <br /> A resolution to establish Parks rind Recreation Fund received a unanimous vote at <br /> City Council meetino and will :•e put uo for first reading. <br /> Chairman reported he had contacted Nr. Rrabtno about usino outdoor facilities foc <br /> a Tr!-City Track Meet to be held in Louisville on July 22nd if COmmission anreed. <br /> Ouestiones were put before the board reaardlno her mach participation other .iolnt- <br /> City activities had generated in the past. After some discussion. a motion was <br /> mole by August Hioco that no proceed with the track most plans, and set a limit <br /> of exaeediturs for the event at $50.00. Jerry King seconded the motion and it <br /> was approved by all. <br /> Next on the agenda was wino of parks so that City Administrator can have park <br /> slans made up. Jerry King mooted namino the park south of Middle School. <br /> "Pirates Park" and all members sorted to this. Chairmen proposed name for Dark <br /> in Parkwood to be called "Lake Park . and this was approved. The lamer of 2 <br /> parks in North Louisville will be North Louisville Park`, and the smaller <br /> "Cottonwood Park". It was agreed that the park it Miners Field be named "Miners <br /> Field Park". A public wettest. sponsored by Urban Renewal will be held to <br /> name the Mini-Park. It was decided the sloes shill be 2 ft. X t ft. of rustle <br /> wooed with rearms tither burned in or chiseled. and painted white. Mood to remain <br />
