Colorado SOW <br /> MINUTES nF PARKS Ate RECREATIONN PEr•ULAP MFFTIP?e:, JULY la, 1973 <br /> Vice-Chairman, Jerry Kinn called meetinn to order at 7:3n P.M. All members present <br /> except Keith Helart and Larry Snrinner. <br /> Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. <br /> Tom Bennett, Little League president presented inventory prepared by equipment <br /> manager John Morrison, complete through July 4, 1973. Pe also asked if It would be <br /> possible to have storage area at Miners Field building enclosed and locked up so <br /> that equipment cannot be stolen. After discussion, it was decided to check into <br /> a caged-in area over shelves where equipment can be stored and locked. <br /> 2 invoices for equipment from Applewood Snorts, Wheat Ridge, Colorado were pre- <br /> sented. One for S.36 3.30 and the other for 1100.00. These were both tabled for <br /> action at next meetino. Another statement for S2OA.Of from Golden_Apolewood <br /> presented by Mr. Bennett was discussed and returned to him for more clarification. <br /> Mr. Kennett brought up the subject of maintenance on the city parks, and members <br /> aoreed that if money is taken out of Parks and Recreation fund, better care should <br /> be taken of the parks. It was decided that the matter be taken up at City Council <br /> meetino and hopefully some action will be forthcnmino. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Copy of Minutes of City Council meeting, July 3, 1973. <br /> Copy of AGREEMENT between Louisville and Lafayette on doe pound. <br /> Circular From National Recreation and Park association. <br /> BILLS: <br /> August Hioco recommended we pay 572.00 on contract to Mrs. Ricky Pickett, who <br /> taught first two adult sessions of tennis lessons. <br /> Umpire fees of S16.O( for the i:irls Softball wage on July 26th was niven approval. <br /> Bill for 53.00 for 10 keys to new building at Miners Field. <br /> A bill from Spardun, Inc. for t79.00 for 4 metal tennis rules signs. <br /> A bill for SP7.50 from Sportline, Inc. , Arvada, Colorado for 5 lettered jerseys for <br /> Louisville Sluaoers 'omens softball team. <br /> Motion made by Aunust Noce) to nay hills. seconded by aarbara Stahr. 411 to favor. <br /> DEVELOP"ENT: <br /> Jerry informed the hoard that City Council does not anree with the 5nt per sq. foot <br /> real estate transfer tax that Parks awl °ecreation has nroposed, and that he is plan- <br /> ninn to attend City Council meetinn later this evenine. <br /> - 1 - <br />
