He asked
Council if there was any reason not to continue
to publish it. Council said no reason.
d rY ADMINISTRATORS Colorado Centennial - Discussion was held. Council
REPORT ec a to ve article in Louisville Times to see
if anyone is interested in participating as a local
celebration in conjunction with the national one.
Boulder Area Growth Study Request our City to a
position and adopt a resolution supporting the
County wide land use scope. Councilman Xing stated
comprehensive plan must include the County goals;
also no one can intrude upon our territory, nor will
we go outside our planned area without County approval.
City Administrator Wurl inquired of Council relating
to item #6 of the County-Wide Land Use Goals "Elimin-
ation of development which results in urban sprawl,
and which fills in the lend between existing communi-
ties" if they are in agreement with this as to
planned area and not City limits.
Councilman Deborski s ested we go back and demand
an interpretation of this.
City Administrator Wurl recommended he would rather
send our interpretation to the County; we support
the concept so long as the sprawl doesn't extend
beyond the planned area of any City.
Councilman Donovan stated this was just an outline.
After the Goals were approved the County will set up
a Board of Cities to further implement the Goals.
Councilman King suggested that we continue with the
same program we presented at Lafayette- which is freest
the Community to their comprehensive plan area.
City Administrator Wurl stated that covered his concern,
that we outline to them vs feel we should be permitted
to deal in our planned area. Council then instructed
City Administrator Wurl to write a letter stating
these goals are satisfactory; but each City should
stay within their comprehensive plan and the County
should have no jurisdiction over them.
Councilman Deborski recommended we accept the 7 goals
and add item (8) - All Cities must have a comprehen-
sive plan approved by the County Commissioners, and
must operate within it.
Page - 2 -
