TAX REBATE FOR City Administrator Wurl reported that several <br /> THE ELDERLY cities have been giving the City portion of the <br /> property tax as a rebate to the elderly 65 years <br /> and older. It would cost the City in the neigh- <br /> borhood of $5,000.00 per year. <br /> Councilman Donovan moved that City Attorney <br /> Morris be instructed to prepare Ordinance - tax <br /> rebate for' City's share of property tax to the <br /> elderly citizens. Seconded by Councilman Jensen. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilman Deborski stated that he had a request <br /> on some property that was zoned for Commercial <br /> Business on McKinley Street. The property in <br /> question had been rezoned residential when the <br /> Ordinance went into effect. <br /> CHANGE IN PAY Mayor Caranci requested that City Clerk McNulty <br /> PERIODS FOR be instructed that pay periods for City employees <br /> CITY EMPLOYEES will be on the 5th and 20th of each month in <br /> lieu of the 15th and 30th, and five (5) days <br /> be withheld - time going in from the first <br /> and 15th to be paid on the 20th and time worked <br /> from the 16th through the 31st be paid on the <br /> 5th of the following month. <br /> Councilman Domenico stated he had a request <br /> from Father Ryan for some of the dirt. taken <br /> out for the swimming pool. Also Father Ryan <br /> had inquired if there was going to be a fence <br /> between the Nuns' property and the swimming <br /> pool. Permission granted by Council for the <br /> dirt, and City Administrator Wurl stated there <br /> would be a fence erected between the Nuns' pro- <br /> perty and the swimming pool. <br /> Councilwoman Scholl stated she had been put on <br /> the Cemetery Committee and requested to have <br /> certain changes made and she was unable to get <br /> anything definite from the City Attorney up to <br /> the present time; asked what could be done. <br /> Mayor Caranci instructed Councilwoman Scholl to <br /> get together with the Cemetery Committee and <br /> get the required changes done on their own. <br /> Councilman Domenico requested if there was any <br /> surplus dirt from the swimming pool it be dumped <br /> on the southeast corner of the American Legion <br /> Hall. <br /> Page - 3 - <br />
