• if . s in <br /> 801 Grant Avenue <br /> Lauri k, Colorado 80x27 <br /> MINUTES OF LOUISVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION MEETING, <br /> NOVEMBER 20, 1973. <br /> Chairman, Keith Helart called meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. <br /> All members present except Larry Springer. <br /> Also present: Chuck Scarpella <br /> Gene DiCarlo, Jr. <br /> Randy Carnival <br /> Leroy Warembourg, Jr. <br /> Peggy Boydstun <br /> Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. <br /> PROGRAMS: <br /> Open Gym: Chuck Scarpella was first on the agenda, and re-- <br /> ported that the Open Gym which he has taken over from August <br /> Hioco is running smoothly. He has 12 people in the program <br /> and asked if it would be possible to extend the program <br /> through the 1973-74 school year. He requested $35.00 from <br /> Parks and Recreation, entrance fee into Boulder Recreation <br /> Volleyball league. <br /> Secretary was asked to call Middle School and get contract <br /> extended for use of the gym on Wednesday evenings through May, <br /> 1974. <br /> August Hioco made a motion that Chuck Scarpella receive the <br /> $35.00 entrance fee for the volleyball league. JoAnn seconded <br /> the motion and all were in favor. <br /> Wrestling: Gene DiCarlo was next and reported that he would <br /> like to start iegistr^ions for wrestling program. He es- <br /> timates he will have 30 boys involved in the program. He ' - <br /> ' asked about insurance for the boys, and chairman told him <br /> that all city sponsored activities are covered wider City <br /> liability insurance. A $3.00 registration fee will be charged <br /> and money is to be turned over to secretary and run through <br /> City books. Mr. DiCarlo said the only money he will need <br /> for the program is to keep wrestling mats in shape. <br /> Keith Helart made a motion that Parks and Recreation budget <br /> $150.00 for the wrestling program. It was seconded by <br /> Jerry King and motion carried. <br /> Ski Program: Barbara Stater, who rode to Lake Eldora on the <br /> ski bus Sunday reported that all went well, except she felt <br /> that the bus was not adequate and seemed overcrowded.
