In addition, such appointments require
the approval of a majority of the governing bodies of the cities and
towns located within or partially within the County.
The Board of Commissioners has appointed Mrs. Houston to this im-
portant Board because of her continued interest in the Regional Trans-
portation District and because it is ow sincere conviction that she
will afford expertise and sound judgment as a director of the RTD.
She has been a strong supporter of the concept of mass transportation
since its inception and will afford impartial representation to the entire
County during her tenure.
Will your governing body, by formal motion, consider this appointment,
and notify the Board of Commissioners by letter of your formal action.
Fleas. send us • copy of the motion or resolution in this instance
following your next meeting so that the same may be forwarded to the
Walden D.
