A memo will be sent to Chief of <br /> Police, Dennis Munger requesting the cooperation of the <br /> police department. <br /> MIDGET LEAGUE: <br /> A list of 1975 Midget League officers was presented to the Commission <br /> by :tr. Mike Parini, prozider.t. ate 1epoz•tb Lhai toe organization <br /> plans to upgrade the football program. These plans include formation <br /> of 1 more team, which will bring the total to 5 teams for next year. <br /> They estimate between 90 and 120 boys will participate in the program. <br /> A $10.00 registration fee (per boy) will be charged. Mr. rapini <br /> asked the Commission if a $300.00 increase in their total football <br /> budget could be considered since they anticipate a $600. 00 increase <br /> in income from this program. He would like to have an answer to <br /> this request by the first of April. Chairman again reminded Mr. <br /> Papini that all equipment purchases must be processed through the <br /> city prior to actual ordering, with no variation, and any request <br /> for redistributing funds must come to the Commission's attention <br /> immediately. Further discussion on the Midget League program brought <br /> up a suggestion that a complete equipment inventory be taken before <br /> and after the football and baseball seasons. A suggestion was made <br /> by August Hioco to issue a memo at the time of registration, notifying <br /> parents of the value of the uniforms and if any uniform is missing <br /> they will be billed after the season. The members decided this would <br /> eliminate loss of the expensive uniforms. August said he will work <br /> wit^ Little League officials in preparing this memo. <br /> CO:TONWO0D PARK: <br /> Cottonwood Park bid package has been reviewed by City Engineer. <br /> Chairman has not yet been able to meet with Mr. Wurl for final review. <br /> POOL GRANT CLOSEOUT: <br /> Letter from City Administrator to Parks and Recreation was read <br /> concerning Architectural Steel's position on undergrounding wiring <br /> at the pool. In order to prevent this type of mistake in future <br /> planning, it was decided that a mandatory checkpoint list must be <br /> made by the City inspector prior to accepting plans for any future <br /> development. <br /> DONATION: <br /> Mr. and Mrs. George Brown have expressed a desire to donate five <br /> or six hundred dollars to Parks and Recreation for some type of <br /> a memorial to their deceased son. One suggestion was made to con- <br /> struct concrete benches by the pool with an inscribed bronze plaque. <br /> This idea will be considered and chairman alsa asked members to have <br /> other suggestions *or the first meeting In January. Mr. & Mrs. Brown <br /> will be presented with the various' suggestios . <br /> WELFARE RECIPIENTS: <br /> A letter from Mr. Lew Wallace, director of Boulder County department <br /> of Social Services was read.
