Councilman DiCarlo asked what information <br /> has been compiled regarding possible in- <br /> surance company change. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that Wayne Varra is working <br /> on the matter. <br /> • <br /> RETIREMENT Councilman DiCarlo asked if the City in- <br /> tended to employ persons 65 years and older. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that the matter is being <br /> brought up under the Personnel Code. <br /> Councilman DiCarlo recommended that all <br /> Council members read over the personnel <br /> code carefully, with special emphasis <br /> on Ordinances #340, 421, and 478. He <br /> further stated that as elected officials <br /> they should be allowed to hire and fire <br /> City employees also. <br /> Councilman DiLorenzo reported that she <br /> BOULDER VALLEY COMP. PLAN has been attending DRCOG and Long Range <br /> Planning Commission meetings and will con- <br /> tinue to do so for the next six month <br /> She stated that recently the finui 'bith <br /> the policies for the Boulder Valley <br /> Comprehensive Plan and asked Mr. Hurl if <br /> be had been given any maps for the HVCP. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that the map provided <br /> dealt primarily with open space and was <br /> already outdated, however, they were sending <br /> a new one that deals with the Davidson <br /> Mesa problem. <br /> Councilman DiLorenzo requested that the <br /> Boulder County Commissioners be made <br /> aware that Long Range Planning Commission <br /> and Consortium of Cities meetings should <br /> not fall on the same night. <br /> POLICE DEPT, Councilman Domenico requested that when <br /> police pick up a young person his parents <br /> should be notified it the party lives <br /> with them, even if he is over 18. <br /> He also commented on titles of Police <br /> officers and felt it should be stricken from <br /> the personnel policy. <br /> -11 - <br />
