410 . 110 February 9, 1971 Minutes - page 7 ORDINANCE #57$ ADOPTION CONTINUED City Planner Drumm stated that a study was taken recently using houses through- out the City on meters, within the study it stowed that each unit is using about 1/2 acre foot of water, which is figured for each user. After discussion Councilmen Ditorenso moved that Ordinance #578 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. Caranci no Kilker no, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes, DiLorenso yes, Meier yes. Motion carried. 37 ACRE OPEN SPACE Planner Drumm stated that 37 acres of the Mesa Point property not up for annexation is being looked at for open space and the Mess Point annexors have been talking to the County for a possible purchase. They are requesting that the City submit a letter to the County Commissioners that the City has no disagreement with them negotiating for the possible purchase of the property. Councilman Kilker did not feel the City should become involved. Councilman DiCarlo agreed. Councilman Meier stated that he would like to see a letter stating that the City had no objections for the purchase of the land by the County for open space. Planner Drum stated that it might be best for the City to go back to the County and see what they would like to have stated to help them begin nego- tiations. There was no other action taken. ORDINANCE #579 CODIFICATION UPDATE Attorney Joss stated that this ordinance dealt with the deadline for supplements to the Codification books. He road the ordinance on second reading by title only. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance #579 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. DiCarlo yes, Caranci yes, Kilker yes, DelPizzo yes, Ditorenzo yes, Meier yes. Motion carried.
