City .torney Joss and City Clerk Stahl . .+cc.? rA'.cE O= ' ; 'IUTLS Mayor Waschak and Council approved the min- utes of the '•'arch ?1 , 1978 , Council reeting is ENCLOSUThRS Councilman DiLorenzo moved that enclosurers be accepted and brought up under the proper head of business. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. COUNCIL ITEMS JOE TURNER DISCUSSION Mr. Joe Turner, owner of Waldo' s Bar, stated MINORS IN TAVERNS that his bar tender had been ticketed for having a minor in the bar. He stated that the party was not drinking an alcoholic beverage and although she was under age, she was with the man she has been living with for the past year. He requested that there be some type of clarification as to what is a tavern and also felt that the wording stating that minors not accompanied by their parents are not allowed in the bar was not really fair. Attorney Joss stated that under the law, a restaurant classification is when 25% of the income to the establishment come from food, and that is what the difference was between restaurant and tavern. Council voiced their opinions , stating that they felt it was somewhat misleading and felt that as long as the bars are policed by their owners and minors are not served alcohol , the ordinance should be changed. After discussion Councilman Caranci moved that the City Attorney Draw up an ordinance allowing minors to be served non alcoholic beverages when accompanied by an adult. Seconded by Councilman Kilker. Roll call . DelPizzo yes , Meier yes, Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes , Kilker yes . DiCarlo yes . Motion carried .
