Councilman DiLorenzo moved <br /> that Ordinance #599 be published. Seconded by <br /> Councilman Meier. gestion called for. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION 120, SERIES 1978 Each Councilman had before him a map designating <br /> Sidewalk Improvements the areas for sidewalk improvements. Notification <br /> will be given thte owners of the property as desig- <br /> nated and procedures stated for payment of the im- <br /> provements. Attorney Joss read the resolution in <br /> entirety. Councilman Meier moved that Resolution <br /> #20, Series 1978, be adopted. Seconded by Councilman <br /> DiLorenzo. Question called for. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> CHANGE OF MEETING DATE: Mayor Waschak requested the meeting date be changed <br /> from July 6 to July 12, 1978. Councilman Caren', <br /> moved that the Council meeting date be changed from <br /> July 6th to July 12, 1978. Seconded by Councilman <br /> DiLorenzo. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br /> BIDS ON PHASE I - INDUSTRIAL Administrator Wurl advised these basically included <br /> PARK a sewer line, storm sewer, streets, curb and gutter <br /> and sidewalks on Short St., South St., and along <br /> Highway 42. A $70,000 grant was obtained from Farmers <br /> Home Administration to do the project. The low bidder <br /> was Flatiron, $118,759.85. An attempt was made to <br /> get more funds from FAA and other sources but were <br /> unable to do so. Consequently the scope of the pro- <br /> ject had to be reduced to fit the available funds <br /> from FmHA. Farmers Home then approved the plan, then <br /> the low bidder was contacted to get his approval. <br /> Administrator Wurl then read the bids: <br /> Flatiron $118,759.85 <br /> Brannan $120,963.40 <br /> Western Paving $127,272.53 <br /> Marra Enterprises $141,342.40 <br /> J661 Construction $154,350.30 <br /> Asphalt Paving Co. $161,686.80 <br /> Administrator Wurl advised what was left in the project. <br /> All the projects on South St. were left in, install- <br /> ation of the sewer pipe from the rail road tracks <br />
