Seconded by Councilman <br /> DiCarlo. Motion carried. <br /> BOULDER COUNTY LETTER Mr. Wurl stated that the County needed <br /> OPEN SPACE ACQUISITION to know if the City was willing to par- <br /> ticipate in a open space acquisition <br /> program and would like to have s. me <br /> type of letter or resolution stating <br /> the position of the City. <br /> Atter discussion Councilman Meier moved <br /> that the City Administrator draft a letter <br /> to the Boulder County Parks and Open <br /> Space Department in support of a program <br /> of buying land in the. southeast section <br /> of the County. Seconded by Councilman <br /> Berry. Councilman Meier requested that <br /> the letter be run by Council before <br /> mailing. <br /> After comments the motion to draft the <br /> letter was carried. <br /> POLICE LIABILITY INS. Mr. Wurl reported that the insurance <br /> company is dropping the City's police <br /> liability insurance and our other in- <br /> surance company was not able to lo- <br /> cate another at the present. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that meetings will be <br /> scheduled with the Police department <br /> cautioning them about the situation. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. <br /> CITY ENGINEER Mr. Wurl stated that Mr. Gene Jicinsky <br /> has resigned from his position as City <br /> Engineer. <br /> Coulicilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br /> Administrator be authorized to adver- <br /> tise for a new City Engineer at the <br /> starting rate of grade level that Mr. <br /> Jicinsky was at. Seconded by Coun- <br /> cilman Berry. Motion carried. <br /> Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br /> Administrator report be accepted and <br />
