Section 16.20.02011 of Title 16 of the <br /> Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. The following section is hereby added to <br /> Title 16, Chapter 16.20.02011 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> H. Street trees as follows: <br /> 1. On each lot in a residential or non- <br /> residential subdivision, one street tree <br /> shall be provided for every forty feet <br /> of street frontage or portion thereof ex- <br /> cept in multi-family subdivisions a minimum <br /> of two trees shall be provided per unit. <br /> 2. Deciduous trees shall be a minimum of <br /> one and one-half inches in calipher. Ever- <br /> green trees shall be a minimum of four feet <br /> in height. <br /> 3. It is the intent of this section that <br /> the provisions of this section shall be <br /> met through two methods. <br /> a. In single family subdivisions the <br /> street trees shall be provided by the <br /> City through issuance of certificates <br /> to new horr:e owners. The value of said <br /> certificates shall be determined by the • <br /> • City Administrator and the subdivider shall <br /> pay to the City an amount equal to the <br /> total value of the certificates for each <br /> 2ot upon building ist;uacce. <br /> b. In multi-family residential and <br /> non-residential subdivisions the sub- <br /> divider shall provide and in«tall street <br /> trees. Installation of subdivider <br /> installed trees shall take place within <br /> one year following the issuance of an <br /> occupancy permit for the structure on <br /> that lot and the survival of the trees <br /> shall be guaranteed. <br />
