RESOLUTION N0. 12 <br /> der:^s 1979 <br /> A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE <br /> LOUISVILLE HISTORICAL COMMISSION. <br /> WHEREAS, the Louisville City Council recognizes that there <br /> are buildings and areas within the City limits that have historical <br /> significance not only locally but also nationally; and <br /> WRIZREA9, the City Council deems it necessary to survey <br /> and designate certain buildings and structures as having historical <br /> significance so they may be placed on the National Register; and <br /> WHEREAS, the most appropriate means to accompli:-,h these <br /> desires is to create a nine member "Louisville Historical Commission'; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the commission members shall be appointed by <br /> the Mayor and establish the By-Laws for the cob :mission by Au:;ust <br /> 1st, 1979; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission shall diligently work to fulfill <br /> the goals and desires of the Louisville City Council. <br /> IOW, THEREFORE, Let it be resolved that the City Council <br /> of the City of Louisville hereby establishes the Louisville Historical <br /> Commission and directs the Mayor to appoint the nine members of the <br /> Commission and directs the Commission to establish Hy-Laws. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of June, 1979. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br />
