Jan Bowen 1116 Lafarge <br /> 1. Felt city should concentrate on the <br /> downtown area for convenience. <br /> "councilman DiCarlo responded that the <br /> City has tried to work with the business <br /> on Main St. and have not had very much <br /> success. <br /> • <br /> Councilman DelPizzo stated that their were <br /> plans for a mall on Main, but the business <br /> men did not agree with the plans. <br /> 2. Mrs. Bowen stated that there are plans <br /> for a recreation center, but it isn't in <br /> the downtown area. <br /> Councilman DelPizzo stated that it would <br /> be impossible to locate a recreation center <br /> downtown as there is not the needed space <br /> for the development. <br /> Councilman Caranci stated that a survey <br /> was taken some time back in regards to <br /> our local grocery store, which showed <br /> • that only a small percentage shopped in- <br /> side the City. <br /> Jane Bostwick 1045 Main Street <br /> 1. Stated that in her summation the Council <br /> has failed to work with the business men. <br /> 2. Stated that the citizens of Louisvill <br /> were not having a say in what they would <br /> like for housing or in the commercial plans. <br /> • <br /> She also stated that the growth plan showed <br /> only two small shopping areas and that <br /> would be sufficient for the needs of the <br /> City of Louisville. <br /> Councilman DiCarlo stated that staff tried <br /> for several years to develope the CBD. <br /> Councilman Berry stated that the City has <br /> on file, a letter from the local business <br /> mans association supporting the Centennial <br /> Mall. <br />
