November 27. 1979
•
•linutes - page 4
ORDINANCE NO. 668
CITY HALL FINANCING Ordinance NO 66S was tabled to the
adjourned meeting to be held November
29, 1979.
LOUISVILLE FIRE DIST. Nick Patete, President Louisville Fire
BACK UP PUMP DISC. Dist. , spoke to Council concerning
a back up pump on top of South Boulder Rd.
Hill, stating that if there would be a
fire in that area it could become a
disaster if they would lose power and
not have the water pumping station up.
Mr. Wurl noted that the problem has been
studied and plans have been made to dis-
cuss the alternatives for that area at
the November 29, meeting.
Councilman Meier recommended that the
City rent a generator until a final
decision is made concerning the back
up power. Council felt this would be
a good idea and requested staff proceed.
A fire plug on the raw water line was
also suggested.
Mr. Wurl responded that the line is not
always full of water and also that the
health department feels__thia may be a
health hazard.
After discussion it was agreed upon by
the fire dept. to supply the water plant
operators a paige boy in case of a fire
they could turn on the back up pump.
An update will be supplied at the adjourned
meeting.
SIREN Mr. Patete also asked what the plans were
for moving the siren.
Mr. Wurl stated that he has talked with
Chief Pollock about the relocation; how-
ever there has been no final decision
made.
Mr. Patete stated that .the. fire district
would appreciate Civil tefanse supplying
funds to move the siren.
•
NflNah _isiosana.i mum— ' 'i raft ,re:* Obst.et',in.•Ose:liiiii..:efIAAkat`'t-Ast ..-i'r.avF.3a17;ti.semi.:vwr.tt
