The information will be collated from the local officials, and public forums and will be used as a basis' for the Committee to make an evaluation of the long range utilization Study. The study is expected to be completed next summer. This is the first time the Federal Government has ever looked at alternatives for a major nuclear facility. It is also the first time the Department of Energy has ever sanctioned a citizens groups to oversee the study to assure that it has been a thorough and complete study. The Blue Ribbon Committee has an agreement with DOE to share the information as soon as it is available. and comment on the drafts and give them some "meat course" corrections. He stressed the Committee is neutral - is neither pro Rocky Flats or anti Rocky Flats, and when the study is finalized each individual can made up his own mind what the future of the facility should be. Councilman DelPizzo Inquired of Mr. spenaley if when the study is complete - vill the people of the commun- ity accept it? Mr. Spenaley replied hopefully when the study is completed it will be a complete and ac- curate study. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he was em- ployed at Rocky Flats - had been for 28 years and defended the safety procedures and mini- mal risk factors. Councilman Domenico Stated that he also was employed at Rocky Flats and also defended the safety procedures.
