Boulder
County was requesting Council allocate
$4,000 for 1982 as our contribution to
keep the annex operating. Administrator
Wurl remarked the annex was a real con-
venience for our residents since they
did not have to drive to Boulder.
He informed Council previously: Lafayette
had rejected participating; however they
were reconsidering this at their council
meeting this evening. Apparently Broom-
field has rejected the County's .request
for funding, but he was unable to get
information from the County what the re-
sult of this would be.
Mayor Caranci Inquired since the $4,000 is for 1982,
wouldn't it be the responsibility of the
new Council to approve this expenditure.
Administrator Wurl advised this money has
been allocated in 1982 city budget and the
County needs to know as soon as possible
as they are in the budget process.
He then stated that if Council approves
the request and the other cities do not
participate; obviously Louisville will not
pay their share.
Councilman Cummings Inquired if Lafayette and Broomfield do not
participate, will Louisville be asked to
pick up the remaining 2/3rda of the request.
Mr. Wurl advised he was unable to get this
information from the County.
Councilman Fauson Inquired which portion of the budget the
County was funding - wages for the personnel,
or the lease on the building.
Wurl advised the total budget was $28,000
and the County was funding the difference
between $28,000 and $12,000 or $16,000.
